Devon Meet - 2nd October 2004

Brixham Breakwater

Notes
As is always the way the weather was all wrong. Instead of heavy rain all day and windy we had no rain
and gale force winds. It didn't dampen spirits and I think I can say we all had a great time and it was really
nice to put faces to names. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!

THE PHOTOS

The early bird catches the Worm. In this case Simon (torbayfishing.com), Richard and Smooth hound.
8.30am start and we were the first down there. Got a good head start before others arrived.

You would not believe just how many rods we had out :)
We owned the entire last third of the breakwater and that is some feat :)

Smooth Hound now has a new nick that everyone will know him by:

SMOOTH GAR!

We gave up counting his garfish catches after it exceeded 20 hehehehe.

Best catch of the day goes to "Smooth Gar" I think with this Rockling. Agree?

I was petrified I wouldn't catch a thing and I'd get loads of ribbing. Well, they told me that they had
already planned to so thankfully I caught a number of fish including this ballen wrasse.

As is the way in Torbay the trawlers come out and net all the fish
